Baby Leppert is...

A girl!!

She was very active and thankfully a lil immodest
so we were able to see with certainty that we've got a little girl on our hands. Christopher and I are adjusting to the idea of a pink nursery and are incredibly grateful for what appears to be a 100% healthy little baby!

Back to the land of fast food and fountain drinks

After getting back from Europe on Monday night, last night was the first time that Chris and I actually slept through the majority of the night. The adjustment has been hard, to say the least, but well worth it. We had a great time in Paris and Portugal... miraculously I felt great the whole trip, and coming back to school was no fun. Paris was hard work!! I don't think I've ever walked so much in my life, but we were able to see a lot of beautiful places in the short time we were there. We stayed at the most amazing hotel in Portugal that happened to have breakfast included. Watching my family eat pain au chocolat, made-to-order omelettes, and various fruit like it was the last supper was a sight to behold. As was the seven of us piled into a gigantic van, which was at least once mistaken for a shuttle bus...

The hotel we stayed at for the wedding happened to be on the site of a beach music festival. Every night, from 10-12, we were treated to various Portuguese bands, up close and personal. So personal, so close, that the floor in our room shook. Seriously, there were hoards of crazy Portuguese rocking along to bad covers of Bohemian Rhapsody all night. While trying to sleep our first night there, after listening to an hour and a half of music we couldn't understand, Queen started blasting, and Chris and I started cracking up. It got even better when we were blessed with 'Bryan Adam's' rendition of "Summer of '69."By our third night there, it wasn't quite as funny...

Unfortunately, my otherwise intelligent family shared a water bottle the whole trip, and now we all have a nagging cold/sore throat. Other than that, things are going great. Hopefully we'll know the sex of the baby in the next month, and we've got a couple trips to Vegas scheduled which should be a nice break from school. The semester is going to be hard, but thankfully it's Chris' last so there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

Somehow Chris and I have gotten hooked on Heroes. We've watched season one over the past three or four days and are almost completely done... in other words, we make really productive use of our time.

This is my beautiful new aunt, Gisela, and my cousin Maria. I don't have any other pictures on my computer, but I'll upload them sometime in the future.
